ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
None, this course is suitable for beginners, as well as practicing therapists.
On completion of this course you will be:
- entitled to add the letters “G.T.T. Dip. (name of course)” after your name.
- qualified in your chosen therapy, enabling you to practice professionally.
- confident and have in depth knowledge of your chosen subject.
- able to gain insurance, therefore being covered to charge clients’ money for treatments. You will be introduced to recommended insurer details in the course. (It is your responsibility to gain suitable insurance, or to check with your current insurer that they cover your chosen therapy. It is advised that non UK residents check course suitablity for the country they wish to practise in.)
COURSE FORMAT:
- Work at your own pace, take a break if life gets too busy. There are no time limits.
- Blended learning -various learning methods and styles to keep things fresh and interesting.
Segment 1 is via email, Segment 2 online, Segment 3 is mainly practical. - You will receive Segments 1 & 2 at the beginning, so you may work through one at a time, or work on them concurrently.
- Revision questions at the end of each module.
- You will be allocated your own Personal Tutor, receive on-going tutor support and feedback for each module.
- Complete 3 case studies to consolidate your learning and practice your skills, as well as for reflection and development.
- Optional practical workshops for some subjects.

Make meaningful, lasting changes to your diet that last. Review the digestion process and how our body would digest some pizza. Learn some real benefits of eating plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Review some tips on including more fruits and vegetables in your schedule. Discover the difference between good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates. Understand how to include more fibre in your eating habits, and the benefits of doing so. Review the importance of eating healthy choices of protein. Learn how to make healthy protein choices. Read about cholesterol and the difference between "LDL" and "HDL". Uncover some benefits of including enough calcium in your diet, and how to prevent osteoporosis. Learn what vitamins are. Read some tips on how to choose a vitamin supplement.
Find out some health hazards of being underweight or overweight. Discover some healthy ways to change your weight. Check out some real health benefits of including exercise in your schedule. Read and choose some ways to motivate you to exercise. Become a more energetic you with some tips on how to increase your energy through nutrition and exercise. Review some tips on how to decrease stress with nutrition and exercise. Distinguish the difference between a food allergy and a food intolerance, and see how the body responds to a food allergy.

Lesson 1: Choosing a Food Pyramid and Nutrition Goals This lesson discusses the original USDA Food Pyramid, introduces the new USDA Food Pyramid and how to create health-related goals. |
Lesson 2: Digesting Food Become familiar with digestive organs. This lesson outlines how pizza is digested in our digestion system, how we break down fats and proteins and how we absorb nutrients. |
